Words of Wisdom

These words of wisdom from Phil are posted behind our beach bar. I would say that he definitely has an unusual sense of humour and way with words, as shown by his biography (here) :

Phil has been fortunate enough to live on Grand Cayman for the last seven years. Originally from Dublin, Ireland (as opposed to Dublin, Ohio or Dublin, Georgia), he started in the industry almost three decades ago - but he claims he’s not as old as he looks. On the island he has worked at and managed the Hog Stye Bay Bar and CafĂ©, The Wreck Bar and On The Rocks Restaurant, before deciding to forego the hustle and bustle of Georgetown for the quieter environs of East End.

Known to one and all as “Big Phil”, he describes himself as tall and deeply shallow with a good sense of humour. He actually follows a strict moral code that prohibits him from betting on women or riding horses, among other things.

Despite his easy-going nature and roguish Irish charm, Phil admits that he has been unlucky in love for most his life. He often feels love might have come to him more easily if he hadn’t been quite so good-looking. He refuses to give up hope, however, because he knows there is someone out there who will hang on his every word and devote the rest of her life to him… He also writes fiction in his spare time.
